I am happy to report that we successfully held our first Molly's Fund support group in Portland, Oregon this weekend. We have a few brave souls who came together to talk and discuss what we would like to get out of a support group. It was so great to realize there are other people out there who have needs and fears like mine. To be honest, it seems crazy, but I don't have a single friend that has anything close to Lupus and it was really nice to hear other people's stories and know that we had a lot in common.
We all agreed that we wanted to get together again and are going to meet every month on the second Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Multnomah County Library,Central Branch, U.S.Bank Room. I really hope to meet some new friends at our next meeting because we all could use a place where we can talk about this crazy disease and how it changes our lives.
